Frequently Asked Questions
Q. From what materials is the ThermowarrioR made?
- The outer skin is a vinyl coated polyester for water resistance and temp control.
- The core is a polystyrene closed cell foam to provide optimal strength, moisture resistance and density for insulation.
- A polyethylene foam laminated to the core provides impact resistance and strengthens the core.
- High density polyethylene (HDPE) makes up the bottom 6-inch boot and the seal retaining channel.
- Ballistic nylon sleeve protects the polyurethane foam seals.
Q. You call the ThermowarrioR a "balanced bulkhead." What does that mean?
- The ThermowarrioR is the optimal balance between performance and cost savings. State-of-the-art design and materials ensures temperature integrity for the products you deliver, and a modular design with reversible seals and replaceable parts keeps your cost of ownership low.
Q. What do you mean by reversible seals?
- When a seal is worn or damaged on the outside edge, it can be reversed to reveal a brand-new surface. (An HDPE seal retaining channel protects the non-used portion of the seal so it is not exposed until the seal is reversed.)
Q. How are the seals reversed?
- Very simply. Remove the fasteners, rotate the seal 180-degrees on its axis, and reinsert the fasteners. The holes on either side of the seal are offset to ensure a solid surface for re-fastening.
Q. What happens if the seals are worn on both sides?
- When a seal that has already been reversed begins to threaten temperature control, the seal can be replaced. The top and side corners and bottom side seal are interchangeable, so we keep a ready stock of those seals for same-day shipment. The two longer seals (top and side) are cut-to-length to match your trailer and ship within a matter of 2-3 days.
Q. Besides the seals, are any other parts on the ThermowarrioR replaceable?
- With its modular construction, virtually the entire ThermowarrioR is replaceable. The bottom 6-inch HDPE boot, the seal channel retainer framework, and even the core/skin combination is replaceable. If damage occurs to any of these parts they can be replaced, rather than having to replace the entire bulkhead.
Q. How much does the ThermowarrioR weigh?
- While high-technology parts help to strengthen the ThermowarrioR and enhance temp control, the design also reduces overall weight to under 90 lbs for a standard-sized bulkhead.
Q. What options are available?
- Customized stenciling for identification
- HDPE scuff plate providing 24 inches of protection
- Bottom portion of side seal can be notched to 4 inches (instead of standard 5 inches) to meet the needs of companies utilizing trailers with a protruding scuff liner.
- Hardware for third logistic strap.
