Features & Benefits
Product Description
The R·O·M DuroLumen LED System brings the next generation of interior trailer lighting to the food distribution industry. Food distributors are already familiar with this concept, which is becoming the standard for exterior trailer lighting. Now you can experience the advantages of LED technology inside your trailer. The DuroLumen LED System eliminates many of the problems seen when using incandescent and fluorescent interior lighting such as high amp draw, poor performance in refrigerated environments and uneven illumination. LEDs provide efficiency, cost savings and safety for you and your entire food distribution fleet.
| Feature | Benefit | |
|---|---|---|
| Efficiency | ||
| Power Savings | The DuroLumen draws 1.25 amps compared to 2.1 amps for competing LEDs and 2.5 amps for fluorescent, meaning fewer drawn-down batteries. | |
| Better Lighting | With 180 LEDs per fixture, the trailer is brightly illuminated. LEDs don’t flicker, and they come on bright in cold environments with no delay for warm-up time. | |
| Operating Temp Range | The DuroLumen operates in environments from –25 degrees F to 150 degrees F. | |
| Moisture Resistant | Housings are sealed with neoprene gaskets and PCBs are sealed with conformal coating to protect the LEDs. | |
| RFID Friendly | Unlike fluorescents, LEDs emit no radio interference. | |
| Cost Savings | ||
| Long-Lasting | With proper care and maintenance, the DuroLumen system can last the life of your trailer to significantly reduce upkeep expenses. | |
| Solid-State | With no moving parts, LEDs withstand road vibration and harsh conditions better than fluorescents. | |
| Retrofit Capability | Easily retrofits to existing light fixture cutouts and wiring. No rework required. | |
| Safety | ||
| Low Heat Generation | LEDs require no heat strips and their low current draw generates less heat, eliminating fire hazards and damage to products coming in contact with the fixture. | |
| Dependable | A dark trailer is dangerous. The DuroLumen System allows peace-of-mind dependability in unsafe settings, and drivers won’t have to handle cumbersome flashlights to read labels like they do in dimly lit trailers. | |
